Our Vision

At Eastbridge we desire, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to glorify God and make disciples of Jesus Christ by dedicating ourselves to Biblical worship, teaching, ministry, and evangelism in the midst of a caring, intergenerational community.

How will this vision become a reality?

We will glorify God and make disciples through close study and application of God’s Word regarding:
  • Worship: “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our maker.  For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture.”

We promote worship of the transcendent God by:

    • Encouraging private worship and prayer as individuals and families
    • Providing public worship services in a blended style that neither abandons our connection to the church fathers nor to our current generation.

  • Teaching: “Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

We teach the whole counsel of God by:

    • Providing learning and discipleship opportunities in a variety of settings
    • Teaching from the inerrant Word of God with a historical, reformed perspective, as summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith.

  • Ministry: “Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve.”
We serve one another and the larger community by:
    • Helping people in their immediate needs
    • Supporting local ministries
    • Identifying & encouraging the use of spiritual gifts by each member of the congregation.

  • Evangelism:  “Go therefore and make disciples.”
We fulfill the great commission by:
    • Supporting local and foreign missions
    • Providing evangelistic opportunities through summer mission trips
    • Equipping the saints to spread the gospel
    • Reaching out to the lost in our community.

  • Community:  “Bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

We build genuine community by:

    • Providing opportunities for interaction that include every generation of the church
    • Learning from, caring for, loving, and challenging one another to Christ-like living.
